July Favorites- 2012

Dad and JoIs it just me or has life entered warp speed? Yes, we are almost done summer vacation, and it seems it has just begun. We usually start school in August as we are homeschoolers so we can pick our own schedule and we like to take off a full month in December. I am sure this month will be flying by as I already have a super jam-packed month, the calendar has something written on it almost every single day! Gasp! Well I will have to roll with it because for a family of five I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. Still plenty of time for cooking, and eating out though. Always make those things a priority! So her was the best of the best of our eating in July.

Macaroni GoulashBest Cooking- Macaroni Goulash, I tried out a few recipes from my Beverly Lewis Amish Cook Book this month. This was not only our favorite of the cook book, but the favorite of the whole month. Comfort food at it’s finest. ( and easiest too!)

Frosted Chocolate Pretzel BarsBest Baking- This is the second time I have made a recipe from Gingerbread Bagels, and the second time it has made the monthly favorites list. Note to self, make more things from Gingerbread Bagels. Especially these Frosted Chocolate Pretzel Bars.

SmashBest Dining Out- The first thing I think about when dining out is Burgers, we love them! So we were excited to find a great new burger place to add to our ever-growing list of favorites. Well done Smashburger, well done.

Well until next month…
