Yesterday I took the kids to The Keg for lunch. When we dine at the Keg it is usually in the evening, however my daughter had her immunization, and we let her pick what restaurant she wanted to go to for lunch. As we were sat I noticed there were no other kids in the restaurant. Also there were no other women. Just us and ever other table was filled with 2 men. Surrounded by tables of men on business lunches I was very thankful that I have such well-behaved children. They quietly ordered their lunches and we proceeded to have a lovely lunch for four. I tried the chicken club and spinach salad. I have had the spinach salad before lovely as always, the chicken club was good, I really liked the addition of avocado. My daughter ordered the BBQ grilled chicken, which came with roasted red peppers, asparagus and French fries so I was pleased with the addition of vegetables. The kids, they were pleased that the kids meals come with ice cream at the end. So for a quiet mid-week lunch meal, I think The Keg is the place to go!

Buffalo Wild Wings
I have been wanting to try out Buffalo Wild Wings since I saw that it opened, so the family and I finally made it out on Sunday. This restaurant definitely has the sports bar feel with loud T.V’s all around you all playing different various sports channels, but it also has kid’s menus! The kids all loved this place, and unlike their parents, actually ordered the wings. I thought kid’s meals were pretty well priced, for 4.49 you get a choice between wings, chicken fingers or cheeseburger all with fries, however, a drink is apparently not included as we discovered when we got our bill. My husband had the burger and was really quite thrilled with, even proclaiming it to be one of the best burgers in the city. I was quite happy with my buffalo chicken wrap that came with tortillas and salsa. All in all we had a wonderful time, and will be returning for sure.

The Olive Garden- Calgary
Last night was our annual fall birthday celebration. We decided Olive Garden was in order as it has been ages since we have been and let’s just be honest, I needed some of that salad. I love the olive Garden, although I usually completely fill up on the salad and bread sticks and so end up taking the majority of my meal home! Lunch today will be the leftover Chicken Scampi. Last night was great and it was made even more special by the amazing waiter we had. He really did go above and beyond to make our evening lovely. The kids had a wonderful time, and ate to their little hearts content. This is a restaurant that I wish that we ate at more, something we will have to remedy in the future.

Famoso- Calgary
We just had one of the best restaurant lunches in recent history. Instantly a family favorite is the new Famoso Pizza in McKenzie Towne, for a couple of reasons. 1. Fun setting. 2. Great for kids, they even get a free scoop of gelato with purchase of a meal. 3. Great service. 4. Amazing pizza, and soup, and salad, and probably everything else but hey that’s what we tried. I had the Pollo Pizza, white sauce, Chicken Artichokes, Roasted red peppers, cheese all combined to create delicious. The Roasted Tomato Bisque on the side was amazing, I would go back for that alone. Yummy, yummy, now I think you should drive on over and enjoy some yourself.
