Sunday lunch. We were on the lookout for something close to our church (in the Northeast), fast and healthy. My husband is still a bit under the weather so eating a big greasy burger and fries, wasn’t the best idea. So off to Mr.Sub we drove. It was closed. I noticed a sign for Extreme Pita, in the next parking lot over so we made our way over. It is right by McGavin’s which I like to buy all my bread at, because at 1.39 a loaf for the nice it’s a price that can’t be beat, plus there is a bulk barn in the parking lot as well, and bulk barn is always a good time. Anyhoo onto the lunch, the kids meals are great, for 4.99 you get either a pita, or pita pizza, cookie and small milk. All the kids loved it! My pita was pretty tasty too, and I continued my love affair with Tzatziki and got a grilled chicken pita. All the ingredients were fresh and everything was made right in front of you, so I must say we were all pretty pleased. For a family that rarely goes out for pita, I venture a guess to say that could all change!

Brewsters – Calgary
Last night was our annual siblings dinner out. A triple date is you will. We started out the evening at Brewsters, and shared some appetizers. We went for the Lobster Artichoke Dip, it was amazing, plus the honey garlic wings, also amazing, and the calamari which I didn’t try but every one else said it was amazing. Okay, so you get the picture, we liked the appetizers. Now on to the meal portion, I had the Crispy Chicken Ranch Burger with a side of sweet potatoes. It tasted exactly like I thought it would according to the menu description, and let’s be honest with ourselves, that is a rare thing. For dessert we all shared the leprechaun Pie, and the Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake, again, I didn’t actually try these, however, everybody else seemed to enjoy them immensely. So all in all, we had a great dinner out. Next, was home for Settlers of Catan, and I was the champion! Woo hoo!
Cafe 22- Calgary
Have you ever walked into a restaurant and feel in love with it right away, purely due to the decor alone. That is precisely what happened on Sunday when we dined at Cafe 22 with the family. I is quite a small little restaurant, but the best part is it has a tree right in the middle with branches all along the ceiling, and yes the tree had twinkle lights. I love twinkle lights, they give such a happy feeling. The food was pretty good too, the kids all got the big slice, which is basically an individual pizza, you get to pick out two toppings out of their abundant list, all for 6.49. So the whole family agrees we much go back to Cafe 22 for the pizza, and for the tree too!

Famoso- Calgary
We just had one of the best restaurant lunches in recent history. Instantly a family favorite is the new Famoso Pizza in McKenzie Towne, for a couple of reasons. 1. Fun setting. 2. Great for kids, they even get a free scoop of gelato with purchase of a meal. 3. Great service. 4. Amazing pizza, and soup, and salad, and probably everything else but hey that’s what we tried. I had the Pollo Pizza, white sauce, Chicken Artichokes, Roasted red peppers, cheese all combined to create delicious. The Roasted Tomato Bisque on the side was amazing, I would go back for that alone. Yummy, yummy, now I think you should drive on over and enjoy some yourself.
