Alfredo. A Food you just don’t have to get very often. Full of calories but also full of flavor. In this version there is no whipping cream so that makes it just a little more doable, and the nice thing is you don’t lose any of the flavor. Not only was this version just as tasty as the full fat whipping cream version it was super easy. Fettuccine Alfredo may be making more appearances on our dinner table.
Recipe from Spring 2006 Kraft What’s Cooking
- 300 g Fettuccine
- 1 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 4 tsp. flour
- 1/3 cup light cream cheese spread
- 3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1. Cook fettuccine to desired doneness. Drain.
2. In same pot combine broth, flour and cream cheese. Heat for 2 minutes until it comes to a boil and thickens. Stir in 2 Tbsp. of the cheese and nutmeg. Toss with noodles, place in serving dish. Top with Remaining cheese and parsley.
3. Eat and enjoy!
